Okay so I'm not into the whole ghosts and miscuts or even t206 for that matter, but the Gibson above is ridiculous!! That is just sick!

Absolutely fantastic card, Chris!

My T206 Gibson back run was completed for all of two hours thanks to that card.
The day I got what I thought was the last card I needed was the day REA made the announcement about that card in an upcoming auction.

I have been pretending it doesn't exist ever since

Cheers,

Richard.

Thanks, I've lost on a few in the past but this was the best looking one I've seen yet so was really hoping to get it. Won it for the max I was willing to go and it was even better looking than I thought it would be so I'm pretty thrilled.

1930 W554 Lou Gehrig. A great display piece.

I'm sure there are some coin/currency collector's out there. I know it's not a baseball card, but had to show off the graded $1,000 bill I just got. Just like cards I love the artwork of currency and that was a lot of money back in the 30's!

Gorgeous card! I'm holding onto the hope that a Lyons and/or Ruffing will become available for sale one day. But your Hoyt is a beauty!

Hi Sean...Thanks, I think the Ed Konetchy is personally signed, I can't find comparison signatures.

The Kelly postcard also includes Casey Stengel as the Boston Braves manager. The Braves and Browns traveled to Monterrey Mexico in 1941, I think this may be a view from that trip, this RPPC is printed on Mexican RPPC paper.

Would you mind sharing the back of your Kelly PC from Mexico? I have a few Mexican rPPCs and am curious what your back looks like.

Thanks, Derek

Thanks Jim! My c1943 postcard of Roy Campanella has the same "Kodak" writing and postage stamp box. The "Fotografia Dominguez" stamp is slightly different on mine though. I'll post the back of mine when I get to a computer (see below).

Yours is definitely late 1930s to early 1940s based on the stamp box.

I got lucky and managed to find a ratty Brooklyn Dodgers for my Casey Stengel Master Set.

That's quite a start to a '14 Cracker Jack set! At this pace, you should be done by April. (but seriously, you've got quite the challenging road ahead of you. Good luck!)

Default Antique show and shop finds

Hi-
I picked up the OJ scanned below at a small flea market in Maryland at the beginning of the month. I picked up the N284s at a small antique shop in Massachusetts yesterday. Normally I do not find cards (usually just memorabilia), especially 19th century ones at reasonable prices.

Default Ratty and overpriced but I was desperate.....

....has a wicked tear and the corners are gone and it's got fountain-pen writing and has been roughly-treated and poorly-kept but how often does a 1936 Goudey Wide Pen R314 Type 2 Chapman-Werber come along for only $45.....hell , I wasn't even positive that it existed at all ,figuring the checklists were wrong because none had appeared during many years of searching......even the seller had it listed as a National Chicle Fine Pen ( R313 ).... so now the dreaded ''hunt for the upgrade'' begins..........love this hobby !!
