Not Pre-War, but I have been looking for a nice low grade example of Mr. Ford's Rookie card for a long while.

Obtained in trade at Dallas Card Show this past weekend.

Default John, is there a specific goal to your t206 collection?

Seeing your scans now and in the past, I've tried to figure out:

Is he going for a Hindu backed set?

Is he going for the highest grade of card overall?

Is it Carolina Brights he most admires?

Most often, I just come to the conclusion "Damn, those are nice cards." Is there a specific goal, other than the envy of everyone else on the board?

Oh, nice cards.

I just picked up a shot of Jim Beam 'Devils Cut', along with a pint of Maritime 'Nightwatch', then another. These are my May pick-ups and I'm nowhere near done. David (Cycleback) gave me two packs of Topps Heritage and I got a Montero rookie and a Pope card (just to keep this post baseball card related).

Yeah, I know - just another guy bragging about all the cool expensive stuff he has acquired, but I gave the pope card to my son and the rest of it is now being processed by my liver.

I'm not sure if the same card had made it to the same pickup list in the same
month, but here is my 1938 Goudey DiMaggio. Thanks Pete for the purchase!

When it I first saw this card I was struck by how much he looks like Nelson Van ALden of HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Obviously I have a lot of time on my hands

I love that show and the way it uses historical sports figures like Dempsey, and Rothstien. I would love to see Cobb depicted in it as he seems like such a natural fit for the show.
