Here are a few of our 2016 pick up's...not much in terms of quantity this year, but the pieces we did acquire fit perfectly into the collection.

...My Dad and Brother and I have been collecting together for nearly 30 years...I think it was 1988 when we acquired our first vintage ball glove and we've picking up ever since.
We've got a great book that chronicles the family collection...you can see a sample of it here on my website... http://dugouttreasures.com/book.cfm |

Augie Galan Brooklyn Dodgers satin jersey Chris, GREAT uniform and as you can see from your photos, these were not so great with respect to reflecting light. If you're ever in a swapping mood, just let me know.. Cheers and congrats.. Dave Grob |

Mine is this 1957 Phillies team issue wire photo with John Kennedy.
![]() There was a gap in a section of my collection due to Kennedy not having a baseball card. I filled the gap with a Bob Lemke custom card. ![]() ![]() Later on I discovered that Kennedy did appear on the Phillies TOPPS team card. Although unrecognizable, he was there. This prompted me to seek out the photo. As you can see it matches the card. Yes, that is John Kennedy in the front sitting. ![]() ![]() |

My first and only memorabilia purchase of 2016 and my first ever collectible ticket purchase.
Since I have all his cards, I had to go outside my 'comfort zone' to get something to commemorate Sandy's 81st Birthday. It happens to be from the very first Major League Game I ever saw (albeit on Black & White TV). I overpaid for it, but I've done that before on items that did not mean as much to me personally. I hope you guys approve. game1 ticket.jpg -Raymond

My favorite 2016 picks were This Gene Clines 1970-71 Jersey, Bob Johnson's Stirrups, original snapshot of Clemente doubling off of John Matlack for #3000, a Three Rivers Zum Zum concessionaire 1971 world series button, and autographs from two of the most obscure members of the 1971 Pirates. Rimp Lanier appeared in six games and went 0-4. Franklin Lee Brosseau faced five batters over the course of two innings and yielded one hit on 7/13/71 in Saint Louis. This was the only appearance and was the last of his career. Its the little things that keep me happy and hunting.

It seems like a lot of folks had a great year! Below is one of my favorite pickups this year. I found this at an antique store in New Bedford for a relatively reasonable price. It measures 42.5 inches (there is a 34 inch bat in the picture for size comparison) and has a cool knob. It is probably my new favorite bat in my collection, and it could be my oldest.
