You know that feeling you get when the team you love with all your heart, and follow religiously, puts together that perfect season and wins it all? If you're a San Francisco Giants fan, of course you don't. Until now. Man, does this feel good!

SF Giants World Champions, wasn't sure I'd ever get a chance to say that, man, doesn't get any better than this. Want to thanks these guys that have been gracing my desktop since the playoffs began. Sorry to Mel and Willie et all, will get them on the next one.

Congrats to all the long suffering Cubs, oops, Giants fans. I'm pretty sure only Biff Tannen could have seen the playoffs unfolding in this manner, but none-the-less it was an entertaining postseason. Enjoy it San Fran.

I've seen a few Giants jerseys come out of the woodwork here in Los Angeles... This is unacceptable.

The ghost of Bobby Richardson and Scott Speizio has been excorcised forever!

Edgar Renteria joins Gehrig, DiMaggio and Yogi as the only players to hit two game winning hits in the World Series...

Unfreakin believable...I never thought I'd see them win in my lifetime!

I never thought I would say San Francisco Giants and World Champions in the same sentence. Congratulations to a really exciting team, who knew how to pitch and knew how to win.

A buddy of mine who attended game 1 at PacBell (most SF folks don't acknowledge the name change to AT&T, especially those with iphones) mentioned a sign he'd seen at the game. It read:

"Joe Buck yourself, Tim McCarver."

Horrific announcing aside, it's so nice to see an SF Giants team of regular guys -- no monstrous egos, no Barry Bonds, no Jeff Kent -- finally win one.

My Dad, who has lived here his entire life, was so nervous he couldn't even bring himself to watch the games.

Default This one's for Anthony's Dad

The San Francisco Giants celebrate their dramatic 2-1 victory over the New York Yankees in Game 7 of the 1962 World Series following Willie McCovey's last-gasp bases-clearing double, a game-winning hit memorialized in the lamentation of generations of Yankee fans: "Why couldn't Richardson have jumped just three feet higher?"

The Cards were certainly in existence in 1954, but the A's had just finished up their last year in Philly. They moved to KC in 1955.

Paul- congrats and I know the joy. After so many Super Bowl fiascos for the Vikes and so many entertaining and not so entertaining years for the Twins, I was on top of the world in 1987 when the Twins won the World Series. I remember where I was when I heard JFK was shot, when I saw the Twin Towers explode on 9-11 and watching when Gary Gaetti threw a ground ball he had scooped to Kent Hrbek for the final out in '87. Three indelible moments...
