Building on that thought, I always thought it would be courteous for drivers over 80 to hang a "Senior on Board" sign on their rear windows. It would make it easier to see who should be passed.

Not sure this a peeve, but I find it curious when I post an item for sale on the BST and include my email address in the post, and then someone responds on the BST thread requesting that I email them.

<<...hang a "Senior on Board" sign on their rear windows.>>

Subtlety, Jodi, Subtlety.

Look for seat belts hanging outside the drivers door, directionals on while driving over a bridge, and avoid the turning lane to The Bonanza Steak House around 3:00 PM.

Who needs an overt sign?

Good points, Jim. We do not have Bonanza up here in the Great White North, so another good way to spot them is if the style of licence plate on the car in question hasn't been issued since the Eisenhower administration (or, in Canada, the Diefenbaker era)! A bit of an exaggeratin in timespan, but you get my drift.

Check again. The links to scans are there and the cards are priced. If the link doesn't work (which sometimes they don't) let me know and I will send it directly to you. In was working on the scans as I was posting the stuff. Just wanted to get the stuff posted. If it wasn't my posts that got everyones undies in a wad then disregard this post.........

RAP MUSIC*
HIP-HOP*
(*=More talent in my big toe)
People that worry too much about little things

I shouldn't have put the MUSIC by RAP..........how can it be music if there aren't any instruments actually being played by the performers doing the song?

You're lying Jodi! The Great White North is a friend of Bonanza. (Well we have one here)

We don't have any Sizzlers though. Or White Castles

Who the hell is Rubie Walker? What you need is a Steve Garvey!

In my top five movies. Bogdonovich's best.

Matt's is worth re-posting:

Re: Pet Peeves October 27 2008, 8:39 PM

Pet Peeve - Making a new post in a thread to say "SOLD" thereby bumping a post with nothing left to sell to the top, and all the others that still are of interest down to the bottom. If nothing is left to sell, just edit the original title and add the word "SOLD."

One post mentioned when someone posts a response that says "email me". In at least some instances, this can be reasonable and not just laziness. For example, if you're on someone else's computer, or a work computer, and don't have access to your own email, but you do want to get in the queue for a particular card.

Here's my problem:

After some negotiating, a buyer says, "yes, we have a deal." Addresses are exchanged. Time goes by. Nothing.

After a week to 10 days pass, a follow-up e-mail occurs (something to the effect of, "please let me know when you send payment so I can keep an eye out for it", or "haven't heard from you since we finalized our deal - is everything alright?"). The buyer does not respond, or responds with an iffy reason for not paying and promises to mail it right away (and then this paragraph repeats itself).

In the meantime, said card(s) could've been offered to another buyer or in a trade.

Now, this usually happens to me maybe once every 6 months or so. This month, however, it's happened twice.

If a buyer realizes that they made a poor decision based on personal finances, talk to the seller. Be honest. Sometimes, the seller will even work with you to help you get the card anyway.

Mike (18colt)

PS: Thanks Net 54 for years and years of informative and comical threads.
