Nice buy on the T3 Clarke! That card looks beautiful, but for the one insignificant corner. I actually had my finger on the mouse around 1:15 AM, but couldn't push it down all the way. I just spent a bit too much w/Mastro the night before.

I've wanted that card for a very long time, as the colors are just gorgeous, and I love the Mushroom Bat depiction. Artistically, one of the top 3 Turkey Reds, IMO. Congrats!

The card I was actually shooting for was the Moses Fleetwood Walker team cabinet. I guess most of you will appreciate the irony of that.

Jeff & Patrick wow guys! Everyone else amazing cards and pickups I'm shocked and amazed!

Still sleepy here but I at least I got one of the four I was bidding on after being skunked on the Heritage Plank and Magie and the VG 3 in REA.

I really would have loved to have picked up some more obscure E107’s and harder to find stuff that was up on the block, but after years of sitting in a position of needing 4 cards to finish this set it feels pretty good to make this check mark on the old want list “auth” grade and all.



Now I get to say I only need 3 more...LOL.

Congrats on the Obaks. I was the underbidder on that lot and debated for more than a few minutes on whether or not to pursue that one further after you outbid me. I think you got it for a pretty nice price too!

Sorry to hear the consignor wasn't happy with the price, but I was happy to get it. FWIW, I didn't pay attention to the minimum bid nor the estimate. Frankly, I don't think anyone that was truly interested in the card paid any attention to those numbers.

Thanks, Brian. Felt lucky to land them at that price. With that haul you landed (wow), I can see why you might have had to think twice about adding one more lot.

And I've decided 1909 Obaks should be known as "The Set with no Eyes" (not to be confused with The Man with no Eyes from "Cool Hand Luke"). Seems like most of the players simply have dark shadows where there eyes would be.

edit: with the bp the card is $8800+ i don't think that's a soft price at all in this market for a 1-A ruth rc.

Darn, you owe me lunch! I a couple other cards with the same image, but no E135 card. I also went hard for the 1921 Standard Biscuit, that seems to be an even tougher card, but in the end, the 4 years between the two cards made the difference in my bids.

I was high on the lot of 8 E92 Nadja's for about two weeks until I went to bed midnight. I figured that since there were no bids for 8 hours during the "extended" bidding period I had a chance. Who's the rascal that outbid me?

I "extended" ($$$) myself a little to get the "T201 34 card graded lot (#384)",
but overall I'm happy to be one step closer towards putting that set to bed.
FYI: The majority of the cards will appear in a "B/S/T market" near you...

i was pleasantly surprised that i got the Ruth Check for what i did, and yes, obviously there's a great comfort level with a check's authenticity vs. a ball or cut...

overall REA's prices were astronomical...Rob must be happy.

I went heavy on two of the odd ball Jackson cards and won this one for probably more then it is worth.



Regadless I would rather have this then one of the M101-4/5s as those come up much more often.
