I get the feeling that you all don't think this "VERY RARE" WaJo card, which was already slabbed when I got it 25-30 years ago, will cross to a "legitimate" TPG slab at the same 7-NM grade.

WHEN WE REFER TO A MAC FINEST STICKER-ED SPORTS-CARD, WE ARE REFERRING TO THE FINEST GRADED SPORTS-CARD OF THAT DATE OR TYPE AS BEING THE FINEST SPORTS-CARD TO BE GRADED, NONE FINER. THIS FINEST DESIGNATION SPORTS-CARD WILL MAINTAIN ITS VALUE BETTER THAN IF IT BECOMES A SECOND FINEST GRADED SPORTS-CARD. THE FINEST GRADED SPORTS-CARD WILL ALWAYS MAINTAIN IT FINEST VALUE BETTER IF THE MAC FINEST STICKER IS AFFIXED TO THE SPORTS-CARD. Getting it graded by SGC or PSA might help you sell it a bit faster but I don't think it would make a huge difference in sale price. You could probably sell it for $150 as is, and in SGC or PSA A holder maybe as much as $200.

Haven't decided what I want to do with it. If it's really only worth a couple hundred dollars, I will just hold it, bc I like the card.
However, I do appreciate all the great education from you all! Considering I've never really posted on many threads, everyone has been amazing. Can't thank you all enough for sharing your stories and knowledge on the subject. |

I have a Delong that's in a Acu-Card holder, also graded 7, and trimmed.
I have a couple cards in different holders, and I'll buy one once in a while if it's cheap enough. Wasn't Hager the one that was at one time offering territories for grading companies or something like that? You'd get a bunch of holders, and maybe a sealing machine and software to print the labels for I think 15K. Only "a few" packages available. The history of authentication and grading in different hobbies is pretty interesting, and loaded with scams and frauds, sometimes alongside legitimate work. |
