Banned Member (here is my experience)

So I accidentally ran into a recently banned member on ebay. (not gonna mention names but you can put 2 and 2 together... he loves photos).

Anyways, I purchased a autographed 1954 Dodgers Yearbook and a Type 1 Jackie Robinson Photo from him on Thursday. I get a notification from paypal stating (you have sent $... to ....) That's when it clicked. I was like F*CK. How did this guy get my business. The feedback was 100% and I had no idea.

I immediately contacted a fellow board member and told him what happened. He stated to be very very careful as this guy is as messed up as they come.

I then proceeded to email this guy asking him for a immediate refund. He replied telling me I am going to get my items and not to worry. He then emailed me again letting me know he will ship them out by Tuesday or Wednesday. (Why not Friday Saturday or Monday?) Anyways, I let it ride and stayed silent unitl this morning when ebay let me know I had a pending refund, but since it was a E-Check I am forced to wait until the 15th for it to clear back into my account. What kind of bullsh*t is that!

I emailed him twice and no response. Seems like he sold the item to someone for a higher price, and used my money to float another purchase in the meantime. This guy is dirt. He assured me through many emails hes not a criminal and a stand up guy. He would never not send the item etc etc.

Just wanted to vent. I know you all have similar stories about him. Leon.... Keep this guy away from the community forever.

I've dealt with that guy before, I totally agree with you venting about it. Waste of time he is (as Yoda would say).

That sucks Stephen, I hope you get your $ back without any more problems. I think I know who you are talking about and I believe he has been banned once before under a different user name on Net54. He was also banned from the BST area for good reason.

I was close to reaching out to him last week on a photo when someone on the board told me the whole story, much of which tracks verbatim what you are reporting. Pass.

Well the thing is.. At first when I asked him why he was suspended through email, he told me it was for not paying for items. Then after I told him I found out all about him on google and forums he changed his story to because he was doing deals outside of ebay. This guy is a pathological liar. I always give people the benefit of the doubt. Especially when they say you have nothing to worry about, I am a great guy, you'll get your stuff. He borrowed my money, bought something else, and sold my items to someone else for more. He's a scum Bag POS.

This post was actually hugely helpful (sorry to interrupt the bickering) as photoguy777 just asked this morning if he could make an offer on one of my ebay auctions. Not that I would accept an offer on an auction that already has bids, but good to know who the ebayer is. Thanks Brock!
