I've got an oversized 1891 Boston team cabinet image. The photographer is Conly of Boston. It includes HOF'ers Duffy and Brouthers. Overall size is about 11 x 14 and the image is about 10 x 12. It's in nice condition. Written neatly at the bottom of the mat, in period brown ink, is "1891". I'm asking $3500



I'm also still looking for 19th century professional team images, scorebooks and important baseball-related manuscript items.

Bought it from a very nice guy ( Ronald Rice ) 15 yrs ago as a EX-MT and it is at least a solid ex + , He and I , sadly for him ...will be bonded by this card forever. He goes by the taxman or something like that.

I do not really want to sell it , but ...it can be yours for 6995.00 .1000x scarcer than a t-206 Wagner , but te he ...I'll trade for one heads up !

[For anyone interested, my interest in Wally follows. Wally has assumed somewhat legendary status in this office. In particularly heated telephone negotiations with a certain inverted corporation [see Lou Dobbs and exporting jobs], the certain corporation and its lawyers asked what our position was on a particularly difficult point.

One of the people on the conference call in my office stared around and saw a BF-2 card of Wally. Seizing the moment, he responded to their question by stating that we would have to consult with Wally Schang and get back to them.

They murmered their agreement with our course of action and the point was never raised by them again. We credit it all to the efforts of Wally, a truly underrated ballplayer.]

Hi Gary B., Three Ruth cards which you may want to consider, which appear to match your selection criteria, are up for auction on eBay now. One is a 1927 Exhibit and the other two are a part of a lot of (12) W-517s. You may be able to get all three for a price within your budget. The W-517s are strip cards manufactured in 1931, and they come in various colors. The 1927 Exhibit is black and white.
