After a pretty brutal slugfest last night in REA, I came out with these two. Yes Paul, I was your nemesis.

Great cards everyone, several very high prices last night and a few steals.

Horrible trim job but only a handful out there, thinking it went quite low.

Some great REA pickups. This stamp is interesting- is there anything on the back? Is it a stamp you could actually use or a post card shaped as a stamp? I agree that oddball stuff is cool and has room to run

Phil- great example of a very underrated card.

Greg- that back run is awesome!! Please keep us in the loop. I love that set and think the front/back combos are underrated.

Kenny- (I wanted to do more eeks, like 10, but it takes too much time)

Chris- nice example of a tough combo. I think you got a great deal on that

Bill- congrats on the first Zeenut. There are about a zillion more if you choose to go that route.

A modest non-REA pickup. Centering is a tad off but this card absolutely pops.

Great Speaker, I liked that one and the Wood in the auction with those better looking darker backgrounds.

One of my favorite images and has been on my list a while. I think if this Speaker image was used in the T206 set it would be one of the most popular portrait cards in the set.

An all SF sports party at REA.

Love the R311, especially since it's Joe D's rookie year. If only they'd squeezed Lefty Gomez in there too.
1936 R311 Joe Dimaggio Tony Lazzeri Frankie Crosetti SGC5.jpg

I really wanted the Montana + Dwight Clark rack pack, but I got the feeling its high bidder wasn't gonna give up easy. This one was a nice consolation at less than 1/2 the price.

Fantastic Joe D card....and it has Lazerri and Crosetti. Interesting thing about Crosetti, although not a HOFer, the guy was on 17 WS championship teams.

DiMaggio actually had a slew of cards in 36, including that beautiful Chicle Pastels. In lower grades, they can be found for a reasonable price, relatively speaking.

Thanks. It’s crazy how much prime baseball talent SF generated in the first half of the 20th century. Since then…. Not so much

The Connie Mack 1915 Postaco Stamp is an actual post card stamp, but it is rather larger than your standard envelope stamp from today. It is a blank back as well. This article is pretty much the extent of my knowledge on the set - https://prewarcards.com/2016/10/06/1...and-checklist/

Default Really tough Old Mill...👍

Not sure if I'll keep it, but happy to snag one of the toughest old mills in the set.

Default Number 397 rejoins some of his buddies…

Cassidy was one of the large number of cards auctioned first by Goldin then Scott last fall. Eric bought several cards from Scott, and as he finds upgrades, he’s been kind enough to sell the back-stamped ones to me.

Cassidy is card 397 towards the complete set, and numbers 398 and 399 from the Huggins and Scott auction will be joining soon.

Currently bidding on number 400, and it’s a biggie!

Thanks to all on the board for your help and support over the years.

Minuses:

Trimmed.
Stained.
Back damage from removal from an album.

Plus:
Hard obscure card to find from the 1915 W-Unc.

Final math: Happy.
