I became bored with T206 (but as they say, it is the "gateway drug" of prewar baseball cards), and sold them all last year. I became interested in E105s after picking one up on the BST, and plan on taking it very, very slowly. I hope to at least pick up one or two more this year.

The only reason for why perhaps one day i might change my mind about the t206 collecting is the fact i will never be able to finish the set, i will never be able to afford the wag.
With 33 goudey, it is more realistic to think complete the set. It is my second favorite set. If i ever change my collecting mind, i will sell my t206 for afford more 33 goudey. But it is not for now |

I'm a set guy, even though I'll never get the last 13 T206 cards. After 6 years though, I'm still not bored. However I am already past both of the halfway houses proposed above, and have picked up a wide variety of type cards along the way other Ts, Es, Ms, Rs, etc. So in addition to my Monster collector status, I am also an "alphabet soup type collector".

The reasons I think you'll tire of t206:
1 you have a history of collecting many things...so you'll eventually move on to something else 2 these days it is not that difficult to attain most knowledge about the t206 set by researching on the Internet in a very short period of time 3 as u say...you most likely will never complete it...but then again a set of 522 would be impressive...albeit incomplete 4 when u realize how ridiculously common most t206's are...you'll want to collect cards that are rarer 5 sure are a lot of commons! |

I understand your pt of view. Like i said i will probably start à 33 goudey set for take some brake of t206 and buy a couple of goudey card.
In t206 i will never be able to have more than 522 cards it is the only thing i hâte from t206 lol. The goudey set is more easy to complete Last edited by g_vezina_c55; 05-05-2012 at 08:43 PM. |
