What?? No Southlands? Please don't post again until you have completed this set. Very disappointing!
Seriously... that has to be the best Hartland collection in existence. I wasn't even aware of many of those variations. What's with the plain blue/grey looking ones? Are they simply unfinished, prototypes, or something else? Amazing world-class collection... thanks for posting it |

Baseball rooms-the tip of the iceberg
Here are a few pictures of some of my collection in custom display cases....
I went for the modern commercial look when I designed these. I ended up taking wasted, unused space and turned it into a fun way to display some of my collection in an ecclectic way. |

The scary photos are of the rest of the collection in the basement... (and the artsy shot of the flying dog)

Sorry, got all the Southlands too!! Just no room to display them. Don't know what specific blue grey ones you are talking about, but yes, there are some prototypes,a nd other non issued statues in the mess.
Now if only I could find a Hartland Football LSU Lineman to complete my set of sports Hartlands. Anyone out there have one? |

Thanks for posting those pictures. You have an incredible collection. I love Hartlands as well but don't have near the collection you have.

The grey Musial, again I assume is from the SCD authorized Hartlands from the Louisianna version of Hartlands, just not painted, HOWEVER this one is SOLID much heavier than the issued version. One of many including the others you asked about where all I can do is scratch my head and make an educated guess. I have a few I can't even do that! |

I'm new here. I dabble in a little bit of everything, vintage baseball cards, University of Notre Dame football, game worn hockey jerseys, all sorts of stuff. I find i can just sit back in my lazy boy in the man-room and relax for hours just looking at the walls. The room is covered with things my Dad and I collected over 25 years or so.

I know a lot of the stuff is newer than what you guys on here collect. But, i enjoy it, and each piece has a story behind it. The football helmet is a game used Notre Dame helmet from the 1980's i suprised my Dad with after trading a game worn hockey jersey for it. We have a little collection of stuff from the movie "For Love of the Game" and had the Tigers Chapel jersey made up for it. The old books are Knute Rockne books and old ND yearbooks from his time there. The boxing gloves are signed by the 3 greatest fighters in hockey history, John Ferguson, Bob Probert and Clark Gillies. I can tell you where each card in my showcases came from and approx when i bought it. My favorite is the 1954 Ted Williams i traded a 1991 OPC Premier Hockey set for! I should probably get the cards graded and will in time. The Mantle's were the beginning of a 25 year quest to get one each of his Topps/Bowman. I have several more not shown and am down to the 1953 Topps, 1951 Bowman. I'm afraid the 1952 wont be happening within my budget! LOL. If the stuff is too new, please let me know, i will delete. Just wanted to share. |

Welcome to the forum Jay. You have a terrific collection and we appreciate you posting images. While many of us tend to focus on vintage pieces, most if not all have newer pieces as well. Enjoy your collection, our hobby, and the folks you meet here. Please post any time.

Pre War Room...... DONE!!
Finally finished this Pre War project. Now it's on to the "Athletics Room".
5 sets of 5 pics to follow. A few very nice pieces either did not fit, or just weren't right for the layout of the room. Please keep an eye on the Memorabilia B/S/T, as I'll be offering up some very nice stuff when time allows... thanks! |

That's the best Hartland display and collection I have ever seen. Now I know who the Black Mickey Mantle went to in the auction a few years ago.
