This is a milestone for me, as this is my first submission to SGC. These were purchased raw off the B/S/T and the sellers did an awesome job of pricing them according to condition. Do you guys recognize your former cards?

Hey Jody,
I do indeed recognize that T206 Ritter and remember discussing your state's Governor, who was having a very interesting week (I believe he'd just returned home from a 4000 mile hike to the less frequented Pampas section of the Appalachian Trail) when I sold you that card. Glad it graded out to your satisfaction. Last edited by Anthony S.; 08-01-2009 at 01:10 AM. |

Hey Anthony,
Yes I'm very happy with the grades on both cards, I was hoping that the corners on the Ritter might get me a 3, but I understand the stains and creases were probably too much to overcome. I am impressed with your and Matt's "grading eye", as it seems to be dead on. |

Cooperstown and Cleveland Shows
At Cooperstown, I talked with Yogi Berra, Jim Bunning and Roger Clemens. Clemens and his family were dining at
the same restaurant as we were. Roger was a real friendly guy and we got several photo shots of him with us. Here are some of the more notable cards I bought or traded for in Cooperstown......... Including this T206 Johnson with a PIEDMONT 460 Factory 42 back....it is only the 2nd one that I know of. Two tough Batter-Up Hi #s I didn't pick-up any cards in Cleveland....but, sold a lot of cards (mainly T206's)....to many Net54er's. Thanks guys for a great National. TED Z |

High grade
Finally got my first high grade T205 over a 6. Cost a mint but worth it. Now off to SGC in a month when I go up there and you all will get to see it again as a SGC graded card and in my registry.

Andrew, that's a beautiful T205 Johnson. But if it cost you a mint you paid way too much. It should have cost you only a near mint to mint.
