I do believe Bo Jackson never spent a day in minors. Same for Dave Winfield, but not so positive about him. |

Jim Abbott went directly from college to the starting rotation of the California Angels. |

I don't think Robin Yount or John Olerud did either (Olerud possibly may have spent a few games for tune-ups late in his career). I do think Jim Abbott went back to the minors later in his career when he was going through some control struggles. |

Not really sure of this one, but I believe Bob Feller was drafted straight to the Indians off the farm in Iowa. |

Had complete Major and minor league stats for every player that qualified for that book. That would be my first search |

Joe Nuxhall- started in the bigs at the ripe old age of 16...I doubt he had much of a minor league career before that... |

Jay, Bo Jackson played AA ball with the Memphis Chicks. I distinctly remember this because the folks in Omaha were sorely disappointed that he completely skipped AAA and went straight from Memphis to the Majors. |

Ok, I may be wrong here so someone can correct me but I thought Bill Dahlen never played a day in the minors. If I'm correct, he certainly would fit the bill of a player with t-cards that never played minor-league ball and also would be an impressive short-stop on the team of non-minor legaue greats! |

I believe he was a player that was drafted out of high school at 18 and went straight to the majors. |

Don't want to hijack the thread, but this topic is not that extensive and is a variation of the original question. There were several managers, some of which have regular cards, that never played professional ball. Who were they... |

Major league baseball. I suspect you are going to the major league part of this so you can include managers such as Marse Joe McCarthy. Is that what you are going for here? |

Strawberry played almost 4 years in the minors before playing MLB. Pete Incaviglia went straight to the majors out of college. |

There are a number of subjects in the Zeenut series, not counting Fatty Arbuckle, who only "tried out" for the club, but never played in a regulation game (major or minor league), yet ended up on a card...... To answer the question above, Jim Thorpe played for Portland in the PCL in 1922 |

Did Thorpe play in the minors before making his major league debut? Lots of players from that era finished out their careers in the minors...notably the PCL. |

Jim Thorpe played for the New York Giants from 1913-1919(not 1916). |

But Thorpe played a level of professional baseball before he joined the Giants. That was the reason his 1912 Gold Medals were taken away from him. |

Leon- as you can see from Nuxhall's debut he was actually 15- 15 years and 11 months, to be more precise. I believe he got tattooed, and didn't reappear for many years. It was kind of a wartime gimmick. |
