Default Negro League Postcards Etc....

Postcards showing negro leaguers, and other black baseball players, are always interesting. Show one if you would like to..

Interesting thread, Leon. I'll add two.

Brown's Tennessee Rats c1910

I think the second one may be the 1905 Brooklyn Royal Giants. I could use some help identifying players if there are any sharp eyes looking at this RPPC.

Cheers,
Mike

My favorite card in my collection…from Campy’s time in the Mexican League, but pre-integration, so I think this is relevant.

Thanks, Garry, and the player far left in front does look like Jap Payne. If so this would be either 1905 or 1906.

Anyone else have any suggested player IDs for this card?

Many thanks,
Mike

Great stuff so far, gentlemen. It wouldn't surprise me if someone on this board has the elusive Josh Gibson Postcard that was signed by him!

Not a postcard, but about the same size. Andrew "Rube" Foster, ca. early '20s.

Looking back over this thread is interesting. Great cards and photos, thanks for posting them.

I have enjoyed this YMCA "Colored" Branch rppc for a while. So politically incorrect today, but it's still history....
