1898 Enameline Doll - basketball card or not?
Keen to see what everyone thinks on this.
1. is it a basketball player? 2. do you consider the doll to be a card? ps. included image of the potential basketball doll and the confirmed football doll for comparison Last edited by Mikan99; 01-24-2024 at 07:58 PM. |

I would say no. I would say it’s the first series that depicted basketball. It’s definitely not a card.

I don't collect basketball, but I am on the fence about those being cards. If they were baseball, it would be debatable too.

Yes, it’s basketball…no, I can’t place this as a card in the traditional sense. This is much more in the vein of advertising pierce for scrapbooking. They are roughly 5 3/4 inches tall, I just can’t see it.
All personal opinion so I really wouldn’t argue someone on it.
