The Marlins were rumored to have gone clubbing before their outbreak. The Cardinals admittedly went to a casino.

Suspend the players, utilize the massively expanded rosters, and let's keep playing balls. Can't continue to punish those who are doing right.

Not like you could have double-headers in football if a team misses 2 Sundays.

And football has more un-naturally big big guys.......and when 2 of Brady's 300 lb. linemen opt out is Tom gonna want to be protected by some scab backups.

At minimum Football should delay the start until Oct or Nov 1........Super Bowl in March/April.
if you are a fringe NFL prospect and you cant make a team's camp this year its time to hang them up considering all the players that are opting out opening up jobs.

they dont play everyday in nfl which is a plus though, 5 days later can get negative tests while baseball has games every day almost

I would make each game about 10 days apart, if no fans who cares if they are on sunday or not....plenty of time to get a negative test during that span

I only wish we lived in a world where ignorance could be outlawed, it would certainly reduce some of the ridiculous idiots spouting lies and conspiracies on line.

So now we're bumping years-old threads as an additional forum for anti-vax rants?

Perhaps Leon could do us all a favor and lock these COVID threads. Personally, I'd love to see the Watercooler section return to being a place of civility.

I noticed that thread was active recently, but I resisted the normal reaction to look at it.

I doubt that! I keep thinking that a common interest in the hobby and some basic courtesy would sustain some discussion from different viewpoints, but I guess maybe we're just past that point as a society. This bums me out but I won't dwell on it.

In order to believe you're right, it seems you have to believe (and say) the other guy is an inferior moron.

I think you've nailed it. It's the demonization of those with different opinions (and sometimes it's based only on an assumption of a person's opinion!) that bothers me.

Does the same things and much worse at times then complains/whines when it gets thrown back in his face?!?!?

Also thinks the thread should be closed even though he can't quit himself from posting in it 24/7.

Maybe get Leon, Mathew, to tell you to quit posting in there seeing as you are incapable, or find it rather difficult of doing that yourself.

Good god man. Are you for real?

His last post in the other thread he wants locked down, like many of his posts in it, is a direct insult to another person lol. Not sure he has any leg to stand on, but with a hard narrative to defend, trying to get it locked is a good move. If you can't win, get it ended.

I wonder this about you. I’ve never heard anyone talk as crazy as you do. It’s as if you would read The Onion and immediately cite it and consider it fact.

Says the guy, who despite all the covid lies, still believes the vaccines work. Says the guy who likely still believes that we only have 8 yrs to live/to save the planet despite that being said over 30+ yrs ago. Says the guy who will repeat/regurgitate anything his T.V. screen tells him.

Yeah, I understand, because you and Matthew are of the same ilk, how you could think I was the crazy one.

Try some critical thinking sometime, Jeremy, you just might like what you discover.

Good morning… you and I are clearly on opposite sides of this issues, as far as I can tell from your post above.

I would love to ask you an honest question that I was wondering about reading about Fauci this morning and the vitriol he generates on the other side of this issue.

My question to you is, why do you think Fauci (and most healthcare professionals) would lie about this? What do you think is their end game or motivation to create such a wide-spread “hoax”

I am honestly curious to hear to hear your point of view on this.

Thx, Jeff

Well, since I'll trust that you seriously don't know I'll answer your question.

Money and Power. Plain and simple.
Billions has been made off of this plan-demic and Fauci, who is on a huge power trip, who wants the public to view him as a god, a divine individual, or basically science itself is how he'd like to be remembered, thought of. Ever heard of Napoleon complex?

Now your turn. Please tell me what these doctors and other medical professionals, who are sticking their necks risking their jobs, their careers, their reputations (in the thousands, btw) have to gain by speaking out against them?

Ok, thx for sharing… this is obviously a case of “agree to disagree” but I do appreciate you sharing your point of view.

For me, I am lucky enough to work with physicians for a living and I believe in the science that they believe in. For me, it’s that simple. I trust my friends and colleagues who work in ID and who staff emergency departments who have been dealing with this quite courageously for almost 3 years now.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond - now, I’m going back to other threads to decide which Ramly to chase for my HOF collection!

Be well and happy holidays to you.

They are all beautiful cards. I had a really nice Ramly(can't remember who) but sold it to fund 2 T10s for my collection.

They allow group social protesting right..thats considered much bigger than the pandemic (according to health experts on CNN at least) ..too me if there are other things more important than the pandemic than dont really need to get into the public good argument about some ballplayers..

I stand by my comments from years ago that seemed to age a lot better than some others posters comments on this thread
