Any and all Cuban/Negro League baseball cards.
Whether it’s the 1909-1910 Cabanas and Punch cards…. The 1920s Aguiitas, Billiken, Nacionales, and Tomas Gutierrez…. The 1940s Almanaque, Caramelo Deportivo, El Indio, Toleteros, Victoria…. In some ways, it makes collecting them more enjoyable because you don’t have the luxury of saying to yourself, “hey, I don’t love this one; I’ll just grab another one on eBay, my local card show, or from the next auction house.” You always look for the best but you can sleep soundly at night. I would assume you’d feel the same way if you devoted yourself to collecting T214 Victory cards! |
