Nice Hobe Bill. Does anyone know what a Hobe is? Was he German?
I did read that ole Hobe once kicked Jack Hayden in the face during a game and both were ejected, becoming the first pair of teammates ejected for fighting, hahaha He also committed 61 errors in a season! Furthermore, (and fittingly so) he committed the first error in World Series history fumbling a ball in the top of the first inning of game 1 in 1903 ———— Note: Bowerman had a lackluster showing yesterday, so I added my beater above Cheers |
