Personally I've really enjoyed Project 70. Not every card appeals to me, but it's a real departure from the mass produced base sets with 15 different parallels and refractors. There are some really creative people doing some really cool things I've never seen on a baseball card before. I love that they're able to tip a cap to the history of the game and have some fun with it. The great part about the set is if you don't like this particular style, there is almost certainly an artist you will appreciate elsewhere in the set.
Take a look at what they've done with Willie Mays today; I guarantee you've never seen another baseball card like it. |
