I agree with you the boxing Billiken are very rare, I do not have any, I tell you again that you have something special. Now you will see something that I bought in the 90s at Mike Gonzalez's house, a large print from when he played in St. Louis in 1931 signed by everyone, but without his signature.

Jason, I wrote that I bought it at Mike's house, not that I bought it from him, when Mike died in the house, the one who was his last wife stayed, with his sister and his nephew, I went 3 or 4 times to that house and I bought it from the widow's nephew, he also visited my house years ago. ,

Jason, something more about Mike González, he had a son, they have told me that his wife and son left Cuba perhaps in the early 60s, he had another wife who took care of him until he died, she stayed in The house with a sister and her nephew, the widow died several years ago, I met the nephew in the 90s and visited the house on several occasions and he also visited me,

Yesterday I was checking one of my emails and I see that since the beginning of April none came in, and it seemed strange to me, my son touched something and suddenly many, some from April, from friends, family and members of net54 began to enter, I I've seen some, and I'll answer them little by little, now I'm answering something you want to see from the American Series at La Tropical Stadium, I start with part of a photo of Mel Ott.

Not cards, but I recently acquired a couple of Cuban league team signed balls (Almendares). (1946-47 and 1947-48). Still not familiar with many of the players (although I've been able to ID most of the names).
Haven't seen to many team signed balls so was pretty excited to be able to acquire these. |

Now little by little I will answer questions I have, as for Mario Arencibia he does not appear in the collection 'Feliices 45- 46, but if he appears in O. Diaz, Fosforos Acebo "" El Indio, Almanaque Deportivo "etc. the rarest card of O. Diaz and the matchmaker is not so rare.

From what i see no They have answered the question I asked them about the pin with the S. and the rooster, that pin belongs to the "Santiago" team of the La Federacion tournament that took place at the "La Tropical Stadium" in the 1947-48 season simultaneously with that of the Cuban League in "Estadium del Cerro" the manager was Lazaro Salazar and Raymond Brown, Leon Day and others played in that team, I sent you a photo of the manager L. Salazar and see "Santiago and El gallo en la manga de la shirt"

Stopped by today and talked with Pedro Sierra (at the Philly show) who played for Oscar Charleston with the Indianapolis Clowns in 1954 (right before he died). He was one of the last players to be signed by a MLB team, but never made it to the majors. He came from Cuba at the age of 16 and played until his late 30s at various stops. Honestly, walking around the Philly show for a few hours, seeing all the great cards was a lot of fun, but talking with him for 20 minutes and getting a signed ball was definitely most memorable.
If anyone goes tomorrow look for him set up in the corner wearing a Detroit Stars uniform. Truly an experience I will not forget.

Today I will show you some of the "Tomas Gutiérrez" cards this collection is of great rarity and great players appear, some from the hall of fame, but there are several irregularities in the numbering, in my catalog I give a broad explanation of the errors, for example the case of the card that should have the number 59 and they put 58 A on it, some players who made them two cards with different names etc. Now I show you a scan of a group of cards from the Santa Clara team.

In September 1954 before starting a game between the Richmond and Sugar King teams, there was a tribute to veteran players and then a competition between "Pelotaris" and players from both teams, one with the bats and the other with the "baskets" between Jim Melton and Bob Habbenich against Manolo and Pepe Guara with the baskets, the competition was very emotional but one of the Guara brothers bounced the homerum ball through the center, and the other against the fence.

Pedro Formental in a AAA game, playing for the Cuban Sugar King here at the Estadio del Cerro, hit a homerun between right field and center, against another team in the League, but the umpire of second was stopped in 2nd base, the center ran to catch the ball but hit the fence and fell collapsed in the grass, when the pitchers of his team that were warming up in the bullpen fell, they came to help him, but ... one of them put a ball in the glove, at that moment the umpire of 2nd goes towards them and when he arrives he sees the ball in the glove and sings out, and in that a tremendous problem was formed and shouting among the public in the stands, the homerun ball was picked up by a child and I put it in his pants pocket, but those who were around asked him for the ball to show it to the umpire, and one of those present gave the boy 60 cents and said: look with this money you buy a new ball at the stadium store and handed it over and showed it to him to the North American umpire of 2nd base but he had it in his hands and returned it to the public and sang out again, the fight continued but the end result was that Formental, despite having run all the bases, was left without being told the homerum Now you will see a photo of Bobby Maduro owner of the Sugars, Formental signing the contract and Regino Otero manager.

Now I show you other fakes. The program for the 1950-51 season, they cut out the photos of the players to make cards and cheat, when I saw them I told the sellers that they were false, to break them, they did not do it and someone not knowledgeable bought them, that it happened many times unfortunately. As an example you will see a forgery of Dandridge as if they were Aguilitas from the artistic series, (at that time Dandridge was a child) and another by Roberto Ortiz, in this case Trinidad and Hno.
