I collect Cardinals and I'm not much of a stickler when it comes to condition. I think the beaten up old cards have character ....that might be because I'm a Historic Preservation major though lol.
This was from a haul on COMC.com I had been buying for several months and had them all shipped to me finally. it was a lot of 100 cards, half autos and half vintage. I use sports card forum to upload and maintain my personal database (that's why it says scf on the bottom) i got both the 75 and 75 mini Last edited by TAVG; 09-26-2015 at 01:25 PM. |

Added these to the collection today...
I was at the Philly Show today and picked up a few cards. Two of them were Pre-War, so I shall post them on that side of the board. The other two are shown here.
1. Johnny Bench Rookie One of several cards I picked up lately that I have been chasing (even if only in my subconscious) since childhood. It always seemed just out of reach...until today. For those who may be wondering, it is a PSA 5. The holder is inconsequential to me, though. The card presents nicely, and shows (in my opinion) the best catcher the game has ever seen, before any of us knew how great he would become. 2. 1952 Topps Connie Ryan I recently picked up a few '52 Topps cards, including Richie Ashburn. On the way out of the show today, I spent the last few bucks in my pocket on this card. The '52 Topps are beautiful, in my opinion, and I believe they are the Post-War equivalent of T206. I will definitely be putting together the Phillies team set, even if the high numbers take a little while. For those who care to know, this example is a PSA 4.5
