I received my copy today and it is a great contribution to vintage baseball scholarship. The variety of topics, including the '13 cravats, '23 uglies,
the Negro Leagues 'Holy Grail Postcard' of JGibson, N135 and N284 sharings of same original template, and the T201 Mecca double folders makes all these finely tuned pieces a must read. If I may take a personal excursus, I must add that being able to witness the scholarship and erudition of Mike Wheat's work on the T201s as it developed over the weeks and months was a rare treat and privilege for me. Thank you very much,Mike. Ps as usual, I always get at least one surprise from the Collector's Dugout. I never knew that one of our longtime members(in his mid50s,I think) is a dedicated marathoner. Wow! congrats everyone---10 years OC!! best, barry |
