Default January Pickups

Bought it in November but it got hung up at my local post office for nearly a month until it finally made its way to me on Monday:

Default Nice Pickup

Adam,

Nice pickup on the Meyers' Darby chocolates. I was tempted to bid myself but decided I was already over budget this year. I'm glad I didn't help jack up the price on you.

Congrats,

Patrick

Thank you for the Eastern Exhibits. Didn't realize they came from a board member. I agree, I got them cheap.

Technically purchased at the very end of December, but it didn't make it to the Dec. thread.

Few pickups I got from Sterling's last auction...

Got my first PSA 7 Goudey for my 34 Set. Also one of new favorite cards in my collection. I also snagged a 38 Goudey for my set. One lot I just had to score was the N28/N29 lot of 12. Rough shape cards but I don't care just love the Ginter stuff. Backs are rough but the fronts aren't as bad. Sending them out to SGC to be graded. Yea they will come back with a low grades but they look so much better when they are encapsulated.

Thanks, Paul. Leon has the S74 with the same back but with baseball players on the front. They are even cooler!

Nice Coupon, Mike. I've seen and own far worse than your example. It's also not the easiest team variation to find.

My last two pickups from 2013; a duplicate e92 Nadja, and while not quite as difficult as a Nadjas, a not very common blue Crofts Candy.

3 new ones. I like the ZeeNuts where you can see the front of the jersey. The Otey is downgraded for an erased pencil mark on back. Charlie Duke, the 10th of 12 men to walk on the moon. Those guys are REAL heroes to me. My only post war card unless I get the other 2 moonwalkers from that set (Mitchell & Aldrin).

I see that. Wonder if they did variations in one run or these were printed at two different times. Love all your Cobb stuff by the way. I'll get there some day.

For sheer cojones per capita there aren't braver men than the ones who were willing to sit on top of a rocket then fly a quarter of a billion miles through space each way in a vehicle with the computer power of an old lap top to guide them, and then step onto the surface of an unknown environment where one misstep = death.

Here's a neat cabinet photo I just snagged. What I wouldn't give for that big circular shaped Piedmont box display in the back ground. Looks to be some sort of convention. The Piedmont banner runs the entire length of both booths. Cabinet measures out at 12 x 14.
