I do not know but I do care. I have no opinion because I have never seen the card in hand while having several different light sources(Black Light is not enough) and a top lighted micro scope(way better than a loupe).

This is how I am. Lumping Don't Care with Don't Know makes it seem that if you vote here that you don't know because you don't care.
I have a guess, but it is not something I would stand next to since I haven't seen the card personally. Therefore I would have to go with "I don't know". Last edited by bn2cardz; 01-06-2014 at 11:56 AM. |

I held this card in my hand and examined it closely under a loupe. I have looked at thousands of T206s over the years. I bought my first T206 in 1979 or 1980. I believe it is the real deal. When it came out at the National a couple of years ago it was examined by more than a dozen T206 experts and people with lots of experience with T206s including many people on this board and everybody who held the card and examined it thought it was real.

I've read about some counterfeits produced with these type backs I believe in the 70's. However, I haven't held or examined the card. I'm just wondering why this is the only example to ever surface.

If you don’t factor in the “I don't care or I don't know” votes, the people that believe this card is real and printed in blue ink are outnumbered 29-12. Very interesting.

Speaking of T206s, I read somewhere once about a Honus Wagner graded a PSA 8 not being altered or trimmed.
