3. Has to be 1965. I can only think of 3. McLain, Hunter, and Carlton
4. 1955 has Koufax, Clemente, and Killebrew 1975 has Rice, Lynn, Brett, Yount, and Hernandez I can't think of another 5. Lou Pinella is one. Can't think of the other.

#3 is closed out (1965 w/ Hunter, Carlton, McLain, and Lonborg.
#4 is partially correct: 1975 was the set with RCs of 5 future MVPs. Still looking for the set with 4 and the set with 3 future MVP's (the set w/ 3 is very tough). Anyone? Last edited by Gr8Beldini; 01-03-2014 at 05:03 PM. |

He shared the 63 card with three other players and again in 1970 he shared his card with another rookie.

Negative. Elston's rookie card is in the 55 Bowman set. This is a Topps question.

Cool. We now know the set w/ 5 RC's of MVPs and the one with RC's of 4 MVP's. Which set had 3?

I don't believe #1 IS closed.
Topps used the same photo of Bob Miller Phillies in the 52 set and with the Cardinals in the 59 set. Same 7 years if my math is correct. Fred |

Poo. I missed out on this. The '75 set would have popped into my head right away, but the others would have taken some thinking.
More please I'll try to make it on before 4 am, heh heh.

You are right. When I was figuring this stuff out in my head (and a notepad) I put Jim Perry's RC in the 60 set. '59 is correct - still makes '65 as the only set w/ 4 Cy Young RCs, but the question stated that "no other set had more than 1 RC of a future Cy Young winner. You proved me inaccurate on this one.

This is why I was careful to not say, "only guy with the same picture 7 years apart..." I figured that there might have more than one or even one with a greater time between.
