Default RPPC Dan Moeller

Anybody have any info on this? Danny Moeller of the Senators. circa 1913. Divided back. Not mailed. Issued by National Photo Co. Washington DC. Is there a Walter Johnson from the same series?

Default Fort Branch Indiana Home of Heroes

This was mailed in my hometown of Fort Branch, Indiana to another resident of Fort Branch in 1909. I don't know if it is our home team or not. The white painter's cap one guy is wearing says Evansville on it. Evansville is 20 miles away. Love the buggy in the background and the really short guy in the middle who looks like he has an attitude. Is he even 5 feet tall?

I don't believe I've ever seen another like this, of Walter or any other Washington player. Very interesting.

I recently picked up the beater version (w/ spectators) to complete this pair...

1905 Philadelphia Athletics (without spectators & w/ spectators)

I don't collect stadium PCs per se, but I do collect some venue PCs that catch my interest. Here are a few:

Madison Square Garden, the Mecca of boxing, This mailing card-backed picture of the second [1890-1925] stadium of that name caught my eye because of the lower corner of the building, which plainly shows advertising for the Jim Corbett-Charlie McCoy bout on August 30, 1900. See the next image for a close-up.

A view of the next Madison Square Garden, actually a promotional PC for the Nedick's restaurant. The picture was taken September 9, 1949; the marquee advertises the Gavilan-Castellani bout that evening.

1965 Dodgers PC shot at Chavez Ravine. One of the ways you can date a Dodgers stadium photo is to look at the palm trees behind the pavilion. When the stadium opened they looked like pipe cleaners, with the fronds straight up.

This Drysdale you know was a few years after the stadium opened because the palms had developed pretty good 'beards':

1949 postally-used Ralph Kiner:
