Default Fingerprint on T206

I currently am doing research of a fingerprint on a T206 that possibly was applied while ink was still wet.

Do any members have any scans to share?

Thanks,

Craig

No, but if you mail it to me, I'll be glad to scan it for you.

Thanks for the offer Scott but I think I will pass.

One thing that I have learned recently here, is to do full research and to make almost for certain that what I discouver is correct before I come forth.

The wolves are just waiting to make a person look silly.

Default Probably not what you are looking for...

and the card is not mine. I wish it was, but it is in a very nice collection of a board member who was kind enough to share scans of the card. I've often wondered if young Howe got ink on his hand while stamping all his cards, and this is actually his fingerprint in the upper left hand corner of a card.

Ed,

I really appreciate you sharing this with us here and hopefully it will help answer some unknown's that I have.

I understand you do not have the card in front of you but just the scan. In your best judgement, can you please tell me at closer inspection of the card, is it your belief that the fingerprint is the same color of ink as the Hindu printing ink?

I ask this question to help solve the mystery if the fingerprint was applied during the printing process or if it was applied some years later.

Thanks again for sharing!

Craig

I had a red portrait/Polar Bear Cobb that had tobacco fingerprints on it. Thought it was pretty cool.
