Mine are all just in tobacco sleeves (no top-loaders), stacked in a 1910-era soap box.

I glue mine into a vintage photo album. Two staples hold them in place while the glue dries.

Two staples and glue couldn't come close to messing a card up as bad as Rube is. I wish I knew what actually happened to him. The guy I got him from, picked him up already twisted.

I store my T206's separately from my post-war cards in a smaller 1.3 cubic foot safe. The cardboard boxes made for graded cards wouldn't fit in the safe so had my collection inside the safe in an unorganized and random manner. I made these two boxes to fit snugly in the safe and it allows me to better organize my cards, both graded and ungraded, in rows. It won't hold the complete set but does have enough space for another 100 cards or so.

Wow! You guys have some fantastic boxes. I keep mine in standard top loaders in a late-nineties Nike shoe box.

Those are some quality boxes. The chipboard boxes from aboxfactory are actually very durable and work very well.

My storage: T206: Stacked raw in groups of about 20ish in those 25 ct hard plastic two piece boxes, then those placed in a wooden box/small crate type thingy that used to hold cassette tapes I think. Graded cards are in a similar box sorta like an old cheese box that I picked up for a dollar or two in an antique store. t205 hofers: laying flat in a flat-file type cabinet with 1"-2" deep drawers. Along with the other tobacco cards in my pre-war type collection. t207's some in the flat file, others in an inexpensive dark wood box from an antique store. |

Rob D. - Beautiful picture!
My father-in-law makes these boxes. Nothing is available right now. http://www.dakotawoodcrafts.com He's sold about 2 dozen of those 'T206' boxes and 2 dozen 'Graded Card' boxes to date. Currently he is designing a similar box to hold standard sized (3x4in) top loaders. Probably hold about 3-400 cards. I will be looking at a prototype later this week. When they are available - look for a post on Net54! |

I wasn't kidding about the soapbox - because of the massive plastic slabs, people forget how little room T206s actually take up. The sleeves provide fine protection and make the cards more accessible. Also, I can store half the set in a tiny soapbox. I keep the soapbox in one of Jon's boxes, along with a pile of other raw cards. This hobby doesn't have to cover your entire home.

Tony - I dig the flat file cabinet; very nice! I've never seen cards displayed in that manner.
