Most email scams of this type originate in Africa, Nigeria being one of the most prolific. Nigeria was a former French colony, with French being the language of the educated class. Hence my connection to the spelling of the email scam. |

You're right. I guess I better look more closely next time instead of assuming (as I did) that all of west Africa were former French colonies. |

A large # of the world's worst rat holes were French colonies; the mail exceptions being the pieces of India and North America that the British took over early on. Apparently, the French colonies were the Citroens of colonies. |
