Those are the nicest pictures I've ever seen. I wonder what photo host he's using? I bet my sales would increase 15% with images like those. Anyone have any idea as to the service? |

Paul - the image quality has nothing to do with the hosting service; it has to do with your scanner. |

You sure that a host like photo bucket doesn't have better quality than ebay's photo service? What kind of scanner do you think that person has? Those are dynamite pictures don't you agree? |

I don't know of any way to determine the scanner by looking at an image. They are nice images. Ebay's photo hosting limits you on the image size, which means it's a smaller picture to look at. http://www.ImageShack.us is an example of a free photo hosting service with no limit on file size. Of course, the bigger the image, the longer it takes to load. Most scanners have settings to increase the resolution; higher resolution = better looking scan. |

...scanner, but it is all in the software you use with your scanner. I recommend Google's free software called Picassa. You can host photos on-line with it (for use here and in ebay) and you can toggle the hue and tone of the images to make them look as crisp and bright as they would be in direct sunlight. I only use the one free ebay image to have an image that shows up in the search listing. But for my auction, I always include a URL to my Picassa photo. |
