I just found it interesting that this spring SGC had about 50 Napoleon cards graded, respresenting probably 42 or 43 different players and I just sent in a J. Lapp Napoleon to be graded (probably SGC 10), HOWEVER, I did notice SGC now has 66 Napoleon cards representing 55 different players. Lapp will make 56. So does this mean that all 150 Recruits would have a corresponding Napoleon? I was thinking that only 50 players would end up with Napoleon backs (Tim's list of Rarer Recruits). |

You can add Joe Tinker, Doc Scanlon and Wildfire Schulte (none graded by SGC) to your list of Napoleons. |

This question is not something I worked on when I did the T207 articles, but it's clear to me that all 150 cards that came with Recruit backs were also printed with Napoleons, just in much smaller quantities. Of the ones reported so far, there are both the most common Recruit-class cards (Knabe, Bresnahan) and several of the least common (Ellis, Graham, Scott) so I think it's pretty safe to say that all 150 were printed with Napoleons. |

Thanks for all the info. I think Tim is right, just sit back another 3-5 years and we will now for sure. |

from my set I can add, Fisher white cap, Mullin no D and Simon. I have some more in the 4 sale box, may not have them out til Cleveland and will be getting some more in Cleveland in a lot I am picking up. I believe that you will find the list will match all of the cards that come with a Recruit back. |
