The experience I have had is that these original cards in the Topps t206 "holder" have a tendency to sell higher if for no other reason to prove the authenticity of the card. I always felt most novice collectors liked them in the Topps holder because it was almost like sending it to PSA or any other service. You dont get a grade but you know its real. |

I always try to buy the card not the holder even as it applies to the buybacks. I am probably giving away a few secrets here but I cut them out to send to Psa for grading. I have purchased several t205s in the 30 dollar range that have graded ex. including a Fred Clarke. I also have cut out a T206 Dolly Stark that I paid $97.00 for that graded an ex. I have the t205 and the t206 sets on the registry. |
