I am reading this book when I come across a passage that describes someone possibly becoming very ill from poisoning after being in contact with an arsenic based pigment called Turkey Red, used in wallpaper. Time period is 1890 or so.

This may have been posted previously (haven't worked my way back through all the posts in the form but haven't seen a reference in the last six months in my ramble back through time) but it struck me as interesting.

The book is excellent by the way. Can't put it down (except to type this.....)
