Nope, but a buddy of mine in junior high was batboy for the Yanks for one week during spring training for the 1961 season. As his name is Al Face, the Yanks accused him of being related to "that rat Elroy" who was instrumental in beating the Yanks in the '60 Series. I remember being real envious when he brought a newspaper clipping of his experience to school. Mark |

I met a guy who was a batboy for the Minnesota Twin's AAA team in Tacoma. As the AAA team used the Twin's old jerseys, he had several recycled Twins game jerseys including Harmon Killebrew's. He said the team would let him take a couple of jerseys at the end of the season. I'm no jersey expert, but he showed me the team photo and he was indeed the batboy. |
