The T206 set has 2 McIntyre's, Matty & Harry. But should Harry's last name be spelled McIntire??? I have checked the SCD and Lipsets book and see no mention of this card being an incorrect spelling. Was there a Harry Mcintyre and a Harry Mcintire??? |

My Turkey Red card, as well as the Baseball Encyclopedia, identifies him as Harry McIntire ... I looked up the name, and it appears to be Scottish in origin. Many Scots migrated to Ireland before coming to America, and typically their names underwent numerous variations in spelling along the way ... |
