Most piedmont fact 42 backs I've seen exhibit some serious toning on the reverse. Has anyone else noticed this? Any ideas? |

I have a Jennings dancing for joy pose. No toning at all, very clean back, graded a 5. I did, however, once have a factory 42 Chase with a very odd shade of blue ink - almost an aqua color. Not faded at all. |

Five of the six I have are tinted a little darker than regular piedmonts. The two lightest ones are a psa 4 Lajoie batting and a vg wiltse throwing. With such a small grouping, it would be hard to come to any conclusion. The others 42s are Downey batting, Sweeney, Griffith, and White Chicago throwing. They range from poor to good. |

No toning on mine (fairly clean, bright card) but it does have the weird light greenish-blue ink -- much more faint than any of my (too numerous) Factory 25's. (Sorry, no scan) |

do you guys check the back scans of all the T206s on ebay, religiously, looking for Factory 42s, or are they just cards that you stumble upon? It sounds like there are several of you out there collecting them.... |

Hi Bob, my name is Todd and I'm a backoholic. I used to actually contact the sellers of each and every Piedmont 350-460 card on eBay with a small or fuzzy scan to inquire as to the Factory number hoping to score a 42 on the cheap. I apologize to all of you who had to endure these inane queries. I have recently completed my twelve steps and am now a (relatively) well-adjusted, semi-productive individual. |

i went on a "search" for fact 42's about 10 years ago...mostly at card shows where I picked up my 3 on the cheap because noone was collecting these. these days I still keep my eyes open for them but i don't harass sellers for 300 dpi back scans!!! |
