I did not want to high-jack either of the 2 T210 threads going (Jackson and Goodwin), so I decided to start another. |

intresting.....I have heard from a very reliable source that 5 existed and was given the names of the people that owned them. Of course I could be wrong but even so there can't be that many out there. |

I am aware of another one. It is in a collection and not graded and I believe it was purchased in the early 80's. I have never seen the card but am told it has a larger border than the one from REA and is much nicer than the one currently on eBay. |

I may have mislead my initial question. It is mainly on overall numbers of T210 player cards, not Jackson specifically. |

I think Joe Jackson hit over .350 for New Orleans and moved up to the Cleveland American team late in the year and hit over .380 while there. Joe Jackson was never "just another player" wherever he played. In his first full season with Cleveland, he hit over .400 for gosh sakes(1911). The thing about most cards from that era is that people were more likely to keep cards of better known players at first. But when card collectors get to the cards, until the late 1970's, it really wasn't who was on the card, it's whether you needed the card for your set. There weren't a lot of avid T210 collectors in the '50's up through the '80's. I can remember going to many a show in the '70's and '80's and whenever a guy had a lot of T210's, I'd just buy him out for pennies. Then I'd take the cards home and sort them out. This is a tough set to figure out. I suspect that any particular card from the set can be very hard to get and I suspect there are T210's that are tougher than Jackson, but I am pretty sure more and more will be found. I think this set will catch on much like the ugly T207's have finally caught on. |
