It looks better than the "Walmart" packing job by GAI, but not by much. Who ever referenced Walmart packaging in regard to GAI hit it dead on the head! |

I agree - this holder, even with the problem of being too big - is still a ton better than the GAI holders referenced in the other thread. I'm just surprised because SGC seems to do a good job customizing the holder to the card. |

I have never seen SGC slab anything that looks like that. |

The problem isn't with SGC imo...their fee breakdown does indicate you have to pay a higher rate (i.e. 10 bucks), for custom fitted cards...I have to do this with much of my vintage boxing. |

Of the cost, or issue, SGC shouldn't put a product out that looks like that. If they can't do it profitably then they should just say they don't grade these OR raise their price a buck or three...... |

Leon...I would have to disagree...the product SGC puts out doesn't belong to all of us, it belongs to a single customer. if the customer wants to pay a lower fee to put a card in an unfitted holder, resulting in an unattractive display, then give the customer want he/she wants, it's their card, not ours. |

it's a stamp. it's too thin for a custom fit slab, unless you want it sliding around and potentially getting damaged. hence the mylar bag and the larger insert. |

We can respectfully agree to disagree on this issue. If I own a company I am not putting out a product that looks like that. I guess ya'll would. I wouldn't. It reflects poorly on the maker of the product, imo.......take care |

It is the thinness that causes them to use the mylar. Stamps and paper thin issues like W513 tend to float around and could get dinged. |
