Does this T206 Matty look ok or is it too thin?

I've been looking for a decent T206 Dark Cap Christy Mathewson (or even from the T213 series) and I ran across this auction. The price is decent, but next to the portrait Matty this dealer is offering, the Dark Cap Matty looks mighty thin. What are your opinions on it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

American Beauty Back explains your observation.

Note where the seller mentions the 'American Beauty' back. AB cigarette packs were thinner than the others and, hence, so were the cards. So, yes - the Matty is definitely thin, but not trimmed for the aformentioned reason.

The dark cap looks fine. The portrait, however, looks short t/b.

For further education...the T213 series (at least the 3rd series) has the names written in blue and are thicker, plus the paper is slightly different. I know the AB was the solution, but I thought I would add my 2 educational cents about the T213's.

I agree.

Dark Cap = good card

Portrait = short card

Just LOOK at the cards next to each other and it is obvious.

I also agree, it looks fine. All American Beauties are thin. I think it is because their cigarette packs were smaller.
