It's an 1880's trade card. They are fairly common, go for about $5-$30, and are a neat collectible. A few of the series that have individual players names on them can be worth several hundred dollars ea. Generic ones, like this, are the norm....Yours looks like it could be trimmed too....regards |

Capadura Cigar card from the early 1880's. One of the uglier & cheaper of the trade cards. Not too hard to find one that's not trimmed in the $10-15 range. |

Yes Dave, you have a Capudura trade card and Leon is correct, the card has been trimmed. 19th century trade cards are rather affordable these days and are among the best values out there. Try to find some of the full color issues, and look for the quality of the lithography; some are done exceptionally well. Julie's Tobin which she pictures is one of the more desirable ones both for the artwork and because they include the names of famous players. They are a very underappreciated area of the market these days. |

The Gargling Oil ones come in both the brown tones and in color; the latter are scarcer. They're a lot of fun, and certainly within everyone's budget. |
