This board has a little more experience than "Brian". Your cards are fake or reprints or whatever. Wagner (unless Heinie, not sure) didn't come with a Polar Bear back. This is not the place to come to hawk cards authenticated by people that don't know vintage cards. If you post scans we can be sure they are fakes or reprints. Nothing personal here....you are just in the wrong place to sell reprints and fakes and hopefully you are honest?....You might try the Yahoo boards where they might not know.....we do.....best regards |

Even if the cards were real, can we also try to keep the T card listings in the proper category. Ive noticed this happening alot lately. Perhaps we can change this category back to just e cards like it was originally. |

I've always felt that the absence of a T206 Ruth has constituted a huge hole in my collection. |

The categories aren't going to change as then we would have a hole for everything else? I don't want more categories either, as I think we have just the right amount. I am always open to ideas though... as that's where the ebay category came from. I might try to make them easier to decipher ....Mostly it's people (especially new members) that don't read the category names. Not sure that can ever be stopped.... |

Well, if Brian says the cards are authentic, then by all that's holy in Alberta they must be. After all, he does have a website: |

Maybe there's a parallel Canadian T206 set, we'll call it T206(eh), that continued being produced for a number of years after the American version. If so it would make sense that it would include both the Ruth and Jackson card, as well as the Wagner with a Polar Bear back. I don't understand why he didn't mention the T206(eh)Jim Thorpe and Grover Alexander cards in his listing. They must be tough ones to get. |

Well...trusting 'ole me thought that Mr.Jacques could have had his wires crossed somehow. I just got a phone call from Brian from "whatsthatbrian" fame and Canadian TV show. He told me this guy is lieing through his teeth. He never authenticated anything. He told this guy to get him digital photos and he would pass them to the people he is associated with that would do it. Jacques told him some wild story that sounded far fetched. This guy never sent the pics (wonder why). Brian said this was only the 3rd person to ever have sports stuff that he has been asked to authenticate. It's not his gig and he won't do it. Jacques is now banned from this board too....best regards |
