I have a few vintage Burke photographs that I am considering having framed for displaying. What advice could you give as to protect the photos? To date I have been told to make sure I get UV glass and that double matting + keeps the glass from contacting the photo and running the risk that the picture adheres to the glass over time. |

Correct... don't let the photos make direct contact with the glass. Also... |

You want UVA and UVB protecting glass or plastic. Your local frame shop will likely be knowledgeable about this subject and carry the product. |

I would suggest framing them yourself and saving a few dollars. Frame shops charge an arm and a leg for the same thing you can do yourself. |

I've never dealt with pictureshields.com , but they offer inexpensive inserts with very strong UVA/UVB protection. They appear to be thin plastic inserts you stick in the frame with the glass. You can upgrade the UV protection on glass frames you already own. |
