Why did this 1910's jersey sell for $459?

This Wright & Ditson top is a very nice piece with tons of character. I thought I'd gulp and bid 140 bucks and have a shot. I was amazed at the hammer price. Am I missing something? Or perhaps is this a post that should be in the "Is Memorabilia Down?" thread?

Enlighten me, please.

This is a good example of a spike in one part of the memorabilia market. These early uniform pieces are doing very well right now, especially pieces that have alot of character (cool patches, etc)

Well known company here on the jersey and a great looking item from one of the best known dealers. I agree with Scott, good example of what is happening in the market.
