I've always liked the W574 issue. A few black and white photos that were probably never issued in strips, including (apparently) Luke Appling's rookie card. As far as I know, the issue has always been dated to 1932. But look at this picture of the Al Simmons card. He's clearly shown with the White Sox, who he didn't join until 1933. Was the W574 set actually issued in 1933? Or was it even later? |
