was one of those very few players who seemed like they looked at a lot of pitches. Very rare to see someone who routinely was at the top of the league in both strikeouts and walks. |

I've seen a number of vintage articles that claim Ewing was the greatest all around player in the history of the game. And these were articles form the teens and 20s. |
