Want a field trip to find your favorite ballplayer's gravesite?
Posted By: Marc S.
I found a very interesting website today that would help any of us find the final resting place for many baseball stars of yesteryear. If you are looking to find a specific player, or looking to find a famous player buried close to you, you can search the site both ways. |

Want a field trip to find your favorite ballplayer's gravesite?

I'm not really a big fan of Graveyards, but I did go by Joe Jackson's grave in Greenville and it is well worth the time. The Cemetary is on Wade Hampton Blvd accross the street from Bob Jones University and right around the corner from Furman. Jackson's gravesite is like a shrine, it's always adorned with balls, bats and gloves left by admirers. While in Greenville you should also visit the Restored Mill field where Jackson started playing ball, it's in Brandon an old mill town which is now a suberb of Greenville. |
