Are there really "reprints" that are not so marked??

I can't quite figure out what he is trying to say. Is he saying that this is a fake PSA holder, copied to match a real PSA 10 holder so that if anybody double-checks the serial number they will be duped into thinking that the card is legit? Or is he saying that somebody cracked open a real PSA 10 holder, pulled the card and inserted a reprint and resealed it? Either way, with the clear disclaimer in the listing that the card is a reprint, the fact that people are willing to bid is up to $660 doesn't make me feel too good about the future of this item. Too easy to pass it off as the real thing one transaction down the line.

That the card is a reprint, and the holder and label are both counterfeit.

It seems as if someone has been able to successfully replicate PSA's holder and label process (though the fuzzy scan doesn't help). Perhaps it was because of such potential counterfeiters that PSA recently changed their label to include an embedded logo that can only be seen with the "PSA decoder"...

Does this mean that now even GRADED cards are worthless because the card AND the whole SLAB could be counterfeit??? Ouch.

Observations: the font styles on both the front and back sides differ significantly from the current PSA holder. I would not consider this to be a particularly deceptive forgery.

about the differences between real holders and this holder. I've probably bought only a handful of PSA graded cards, and throw the PSA stuff (the case) away, so it looks good to me.

What a fascinating idea! A fake card in a fake holder...what will they think of last?

I have posted images of two pairs of labels. In each case, the label on top is the real thing and the one on the bottom is the forgery from the PSA 10 Jordan.

First, the font that was used on the forgery is only somewhat similiar to PSA's font. You will note distinct differences in characters such as "E" "R" and "#". The lengths and widths of the individual character elements do not match.

Other differences, including the bar code, can be noted as well.

He thinks $100 is a "pretty good deal" for a card he knew was a fake? Anybody got a spare bridge they want to sell to this guy?
