Default 1963 Post Cereal Short Prints

Is there a definitive listing of which cards from the 1963 Post Cereal set are hard to find/rare/super rare/ impossible?

I know there was a great book about the set and it's probably in there, but that book is out of print. It seems as though various web sites have differing opinions on how rare certain cards are.

Default Book

Dan told me the other day that he had completed a redo of all his books. He was trying to find a printer, and did one for one of his books. Recognize this is pretty general information, but I think it shows that all his books will be out fairly soon hopefully. If he sees this, maybe he can speak to that.

So kind of off the top of my head, and this knowledge certainly comes from Dan, the toughest and most valuable short prints are Aspromarte, Thomas, Kasko, Adair, Yastrzemski, Bunning, Flood, Mantle, Maris, Jerry Lumpe, Willie Davis, Lee Thomas. There are a number of other SPs, but the most really high value ones are mostly listed above. Billy Williams was printed on two panels, but both of those were short printed panels so that’s pretty tough. There are really a number of players who appeared only on one box of panel. But a lot of those players cards were on cereal panels that were highly printed because they were on popular cereals.

Are there two different sizes of the Post baseball cards? I just came across a bunch of Post cards from 1963 and I noticed that there are two different sizes, kind of like the 75 minis.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, and the short prints are different between Post and Jell-O. So don't get them confused and pay big money for an average card.

Default 63 Post Cereal and Jell-O differences.

The easiest way to discern a 63 Jell-O card from a 63 Post Cereal card is the red line separating the the stats in box at the bottom. The red line on the Post Cereal cards goes almost to the border of the card. On the Jell-O card it is shorter.
