| Question for the coin collectors

For baseball cards, there are many options regarding grading companies. Within the hobby, though, collectors generally narrow these options down to just a few. PSA is the clear leader regarding number of items graded and resale value. Other solid choices are SGC, Beckett, and CSG/CGC. Is there an analog to this in the coin collecting hobby? My preliminary research leads me to believe PCGS is the front-runner, with NGC being second. I'm sure others know much more than I, though. Looking for opinions before I start a small project.
